Abstract

The Jali-Zada family is known for their intellectuality in the South Kurdistan. This family came from 'Jali' village، and their ancestors were originally descended from 'Jazirat Botan' in the North of Kurdistan. This family gave the birth to many educated and well-known figures at the level of Kurdistan، namely Mala Abdu-Allah Jali-Zad. He could not get a formal education although he was recognized for his distinctive academic status، and his effective role in the social and political field. This study comprehensively considers the biography of this outstanding scholar who is regarded as one of the Shafei perspectives supporters in the South Kurdistan. This study consists of two chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the biography of Al-Haj Mullah Abdu-Allah and his characteristics as well as considering his academic status and works. He was a very intellectual in problems and disputed issues. Al-Haj Abdul-Allah was one of the supporters and promoters to the rule of Ottomans. The second chapter considers the competence of Al-Haj Abdullah in terms of knowledge and Islamic Legitimate Fatawa. He was distinguished for his scholarly status، language competence، and fluency، especially in Kurdish، Arabic، and Persian. In the era of Haj- Abdu-Allah، Koya was noun as a town of scholars، and as he was called as the chief of scholars. Al-Haj Abdu-Allah was interested in various jurisprudence topics and had his own perspectives. In his works he highly depended on Shafei sources، and rarely one can find something different form Shafei's perspectives in his works and views. He used to consult Kurdish Scholars' views and he wrote down many jurisprudence issues in Kurdish with an effective style. The most concluding points derived from this study are:  He took part in a war and stayed there till the end of it side by side Ottomans agains  He was recognized for his strong social and academic relationship with the Kurdish well-known figures and scholars، and he also had many close friends in Bagdad and Turkey.  He has a restricted number of written works which does not coincides with his higher competence due to his restricted time as he was busy with teaching، directing people and solving social problems  He had poems in Arabic, Kurdish and Persian Language.
